Raven DAO are a DeFi-first cryptocurrency native organisation formed by a team of engineers and cryptocurrency traders, with decades of experience in crypto and fintech markets.
They approached us for a full rebrand ahead of a major funding round, with a clear vision and values, but little market visibility and a dated visual identity.
Our rebrand kept true to the origin story and brand essence, whilst refining and updating the overall look and typography and expanding the limited colour palette for a bigger stage. The brandmark is paired-back but much more impactful; working well at small sizes on social, and even better screen-printed across the front of a t-shirt!
To augment the identity, we also created a broader graphic language for the brand, with outline 3-dimensional forms – explosive, dynamic sparks, circuit boards, topographic, typographic and illustrative elements.

Team works
As a globally distributed, remote-first company, it was difficult for Raven, like many others, to maintain a consistent library of team photos.
Our solution was to take their disparate series of headshots, and transform them into a set of unique and engaging brand assets with a lot more life.
As self-confessed Game of Thrones fans (the brand name was inspired the character Raven from the show) we gave each team member a magnificent and magical cloak of raven’s wings and then brought these to life with powerful image to video AI tool; Runway.
The result – quite moving, but also very Raven!
