The People’s Health Trust is a national charity working to identify and combat health inequalities and the social determinants of health throughout England, Wales and Scotland.
Their website was dated and off-brand and the overall user-experience, chaotic. Working with long-term development partner Joomkit, and content specialist Penny Kiley we helped transform their online presence, ensuring consistent, accessible communication and tone, a brand new (on brand) look and feel and a powerful, extensible content management platform.
We refined a suite of detailed wireframes for key pages and processes across the site, testing and iterating with the client and key stakeholders to ensure ease-of-use was built-in and that design changes further down the line were reduced.
Starting with the existing brand, we extended this with new iconography, design patterns and brand colours. Applying these across the site, we created a bold new look and feel and associated design and pattern libraries to help maintain the balance between visual consistency and functional difference. We also created a large suite of editable branded templates for use across their social channels.
The resulting design builds beautifully on their established branding and exposes the wealth of content, in-depth subject knowledge and direct, local impact they have as a charity.
